Looking to get into bag making? Or just looking for the perfect holiday tote?!
The Oxbow is a versatile zippered top tote bag in two sizes – regular and overnight! It features an easy-access front pocket, reinforced base, removable crossbody strap, and roomy interior with a slip pocket.
Suggested fabrics: Mid weight canvas (6-8 oz.) for exterior and accent fabrics. Dry oilskin/waxed twill/waxed canvas can be substituted for exterior and/or accent fabric. Quilting cotton for lining.
In this class we will take you through:
- Insert an interior slip pocket
- Insert a bag lining
- Re-enforce the base of the bag to make it nice and sturdy
- Insert a zip
- Work with the clip fastenings and other bag hardware
What to bring:
- Your pre-cut pattern and interfaced fabric ready to sew (we don’t have time to cut and interface in class unfortunately).
- Basic sewing kit, (scissors, pins, chalk etc)
