Come along to this TWO EVENING CLASS and make your very own cute bear using baby-grows, t-shirts, shirts or other items of clothing. You can even just come along and make a bear using fabric you love! Our wonderful tutor Sandra will take you through each step of the process and help you make your very own keepsake.
The Memory bear class is a Beyond Beginner class as you will need to have some prior sewing experience before joining in. The pattern isn’t too complicated but does involve a few tricky seams, sewing small areas and a bit of tricky pinning, a little hand sewing will be required too. If you are unsure if you can manage this class then just get in touch!
What to bring:
- Your copy of the PDF pattern
- Clothing or fabric to make your bear – pattern pieces all cut and interfaced prior to class.
- Toy stuffing
- Basic sewing kit(Scissors, pins, unpick etc)

Sandra started her sewing journey making quilts but has now ventured into the world of Dressmaking, bag making, homewares.... the list goes on!
There are just too many things to sew and she wants to give them all a go.

We all use the same bear pattern in this class but the skills you will learn are definitely transferable to other patterns that you could work on after the class at home.
Yes absolutely! All that we ask is that the paper pattern and interfacing is cut before class and then with the help of the tutor we can cut your clothes into bear shaped pieces!
Yes you can make yours from fabric. Non stretch cotton or jersey are great for the bear - you could even be mega fancy and make yourself a Liberty one from our selection of gorgeous Liberty prints we have in the shop!
