The Regatta Dress by Alice & Co Patterns is the perfect summer dress, ideal for sunny day trips to the beach or just for lounging around at home! This dress is a quick and refreshing sew with lots of fun design features such as a fully lined bodice with ribbon tied straps and optional patch pockets!

The Regatta Dress features a loose fit through the bust and waist to allow for maximum comfort but the gathered neckline allows you to customise this to your liking. This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners and is a great next step if you've made a few simpler garments and would like to learn some more advanced techniques!

Fabric:

We recommend woven fabric only for this pattern. This dress lends itself particularly well to dress weight cottons such as cotton shirting or seersucker. 

140cm/56": 2.8m for ALL sizes, this includes enough to line the bodice with the same material you're using for the outer bodice. If you'd like a fuller and/or maxi length skirt you can add .5m to 1m to this length, depending on your preferences.

Notions:

• 2m of 1.5-2" wide ribbon OR make your own straps out of your fabric

• 11 x 2.5 - 3cm/1 - 11/4" diameter buttons (10 to use and 1 spare, just incase!) 

• 20 x 90cm/8" x 1yard strip of lightweight interfacing to reinforce the button band.
