Detailed description

The Language of Flowers was originally printed as a Liberty scarf in 1977 and brings together forty-nine different types of blooms, each attributed with its unique meaning, symbolism, or sentiment. Inspired by Floriography, the cryptological language of the Victorian era, this nostalgic compilation unlocks a secret floral dictionary. This print is part of the Floral Library narrative of the AW24 collection, which studies the subject through the Botanist’s eye, cataloguing and exploring an assortment of species as well as a being a celebration of key florals throughout Liberty’s history. Composition:  100% Cotton Width:  136cm Weight:  104gsm Wash:  Wash 40°C, line dry Our Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in our very own Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces. Please note all our fabrics are sold in 0.5m increments. If ordering multiple metres your fabric will be cut in one continuous length.
