One of the most popular VIP sew alongs is happening IRL due to popular demand.
Not only does this pattern incorporate loads of great techniques and learning outcomes like angled seaming and pockets but it’s also a really versatile wardrobe piece and can be made in a cosy wool to wear just now or choose a lightweight fabric for a spring/summer version. There is a long or short version of this iconic coat and different sleeve variations too.
In this class we will take you through:
- Correctly applying iron on interfacing
- Inserting a facing
- Working with angled seams
- Hidden pockets
What to bring:
- Your pre-cut pattern and fabric ready to sew (we don’t have time to cut in class unfortunately)
- Basic sewing kit(scissors, pins, chalk etc)

We will not be lining the coat during the class but if you want to add this later then you will be following the same construction techniques as we use in the class.
