Want to dip your toe the homewares watert this is the class for you! In just a few hours we can teach you how to make your own one of a kind lampshade! This is the perfect chance to make something to match those cushion covers you made in our beginners class…
No prior sewing experience necessary because this is a no sew project but we do warn you this is a gateway into wanting to make ALL the homewares if you haven’t already! Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
The 30cm drum lampshade kit is included in the price of this class along with the standard tea/coffee, biscuits & great chat!
What to bring:
- 0.5m of light/medium weight non stretch fabric(We recommend some Liberty Tana Lawn!)
- Fabric scissors and a pencil
- You can also bring pom pom or fringing, you’ll need 1m of this too!

I'm afraid we don't teach you how to recover and existing lampshade in this class - it's only possible to create a new lampshade.
Yes of course you can, some heavier trims might need a glue gun to apply but most can be secured with the tape in the kit.
The lampshade can be for either but if you have a directional print we need to make sure the lampshade is put together correctly to ensure the directional print is the right way up - so let us know in class what kind of shade you would like to make and we can help
