Have you been dreaming of your very own shirred dress for the summer? Seen the Liberty dresses for £300+ and fancy making your own? We can show you how to make your very own Shirred Dress or Top using your body measurements as a guide, no pattern required!
You will then have the freedom in class to go on and make your own dress whatever length you like, with straps or without, with or without tiers and with or without pockets! It’s all up to you!
There are so many different fabric options for this dress, cotton, seersucker, lightweight denim, cotton shirting or treat yourself to gorgeous Liberty fabric! If you do fancy making yourself a Liberty dress then we are offering 20% off all our fabrics* including Liberty fabrics for this class. You can choose it on the day and buy exactly what you need for your measurements.

What to bring:
- Fabric (see email for how much to bring depending on your measurements)
- 1-2 reels of shirring elastic (we have plenty white and black in the studio)
- Matching thread
We can put together a kit with fabric, shirring elastic and thread if you prefer just let us know!
Adding pockets isn't part of the class due to the time constraints but we can absolutely tell you how it would be done!
Of course! As long as you have their bust and hip measurements we can help you make a dress for anyone including kids!
We send you all the info on how to work out what you need when you book but typically you will need between 1.5-3.5m of fabric. It depends on the length you would like, whether you want sleeves and your bust measurement.
