Although we firmly believe everyone can wear what they want, when they want! We have put together some of our favourite ‘ men’s sewing patterns ‘ to create the perfect wardrobe. At the end of this blog we will also be including some of our favourite accounts for you to follow for further inspiration.

Outer Wear

We LOVE this jacket as pictured here and made by Norris Danta Ford. It is the perfect mix of stylish yet classic and would look great in various fabrics. This particular pattern is MCCALL’S SEWING PATTERN 7638.

Another jacket pattern we are a fan of that is a completely different style to McCalls 7638 is the Landgate jacket by Merchant & mills. This was M&M’s first ever pattern for both men & women. It is chic yet workaday and features a hood, drawstring waist and side and front pocket options.

Finally, we have the Akerfeldt coat by Elbe Textiles. The perfect wardrobe stable which has a few different variations!

Casual Wear

Every wardrobe needs some casual basics that can be dressed up or down! No wardrobe is complete without a classic Tee and lucky for us all this free pattern by Elbe Textiles is perfect. For an added layer, the Arlo zipper by Friday Pattern Company is a firm favourite amongst our customers, again this is a unisex pattern meaning you are getting more for your £! No casual outfit is complete without a good pair of jeans and the ‘Quadra Jeans’ mens sewing patterns look like the perfect pattern for it!

Men’s sewing patterns – Extras

Yes you can make your own boxers! And we have heard the Comox trunks by Thread Theory make for a great fit. This McCalls PJ/Dressing gown pattern might look a bit outdated but you get a decent amount of patterns for the price which you could modify to suit your style! Unsure what to do with left over fabric or wanting to stand out from the crowd in the office? Why not make a tie, a simple but great make and you can find a free pattern HERE. Finally, we have an easy yet smart looking tablet case. This is a free tutorial from MOOD fabrics and would also make a lovely gift!
