Dressmaking: The Shacket Sew Along
What’s a shacket I hear you say? Well it’s a cosy cross between a jacket and a shirt and it’s going to be your most worn item of 2024 believe me!
We used the Style Arc Logan Shirt as part of one our past online Confident Capsule Collection Courses and it was thee most stand out popular pattern from the entire course.
Not only does this pattern incorporate loads of great techniques and learning outcomes like inserting a collar and button stands but it’s also a really versatile wardrobe piece – can be worn with jeans, over dresses, with leggings, to work – it’s a dream garment!
In this class we will take you through:
- Inserting a collar
- Button stands, button holes and sewing on buttons with the machine
- In-seam pockets
- Patch pockets
- Pattern hack – elasticated cuffs
We have kits available with this class which can be added to your booking at the cart or options will be emailed to you upon booking. Kits include the pattern, fabric and notion needed. these details will be emailed to you should you want to bring your own fabric.
