You asked, and we answered so here is our sparkly new dungarees class! Join us for this one-day class to learn how to make the comfiest wardrobe staple.
We’ll be using Tilly and the Buttons patterns in class and you’ll have the choice of either the cute little dungaree dress; Cleo or the perfect set of casual comfy dungarees; Mila, or the newest addition to the Dunga pattern party the Erin.
Whichever you choose it will be the perfect opportunity to learn all these new skills!

Once you’ve bought your pattern, we can help you pick your fabrics too! You can see some of our favourites here. We will also provide you with silver buckles to perfect your dungas!
You will need to bring:
- Mila/Cleo/Erin Tilly & Buttons pattern
- Medium weight cotton canvas, denim, needlecord or velvet (refer to pattern for amount)
- 0.5m Lightweight interfacing
- 6 Buttons for Mila
- Topstitching thread (you can also use your main thread to topstitch!)
* The Mila trouser style dungarees has more learning opportunities than the Cleo due to the side button fastenings. *
Yes you can! We love introducing people into dressmaking and the skills you have already learned will help you in this class.
We use these patterns in class because they are super user friendly and great for beginners! If you would like to use a different pattern please get in touch. It may be that we point you towards our Make Your Own Clothes Class instead though!
The Tilly and the Buttons Patterns go up to their size 15 which is Bust 152.5cm(60"), Waist 134.5cm(53") and Hip 155cm(61").
We can never say for sure if someone will finish in a class because we all learn and sew at different speeds(and we're not in the habit of rushing anyone) but we will talk you through any final steps that are necessary so you can finish you dungarees at home.
