Hand embroidery is the perfect hobby for those who are not too sure about sewing but still want to give something creative a shot! It’s also great for accomplished sew-ers and quilters who want to spice up their existing projects with a little bit of surface decoration!
You don’t need any prior experience of sewing to sign up to our hand embroidery class, we’ll teach you a range of basic stitches to get your creativity flowing and your confidence up! Hand Embroidery is the ultimate mindfulness tool, as it allows you to completely switch off from the world around you and focus solely on your hands.
At our Beginners Hand Embroidery class we provide you with a choice of textile prints and then teach you all the skills and stitches needed to get started.
What to bring:
All materials are provided for you in this class but please bring with you scissors or snips for cutting your threads. We have these in studio to buy if you don’t have any.
Not at all! With hand embroidery you often use a design that’s already printed for you, it's just about stitching. And who knows- this might be the perfect opportunity to discover your creative talents!
Nope! We will provide you with a kit which includes everything you need to get going. You’ll have a choice of design too!
