Make Your Own Leggings – Overlocker Class

The overlocker is one of our Sew Confident Teams FAVOURITE machines and that’s why we have started putting on some extra overlocker specific classes. In this class you have the choice of FOUR very cute leggings patterns. You can choose fabrics suitable for gym wear or cottons more suitable for every day wear. We will be using the overlocker and the normal sewing machine in this class, you do not have to own an overlocker to get involved in this class – machines are provided for you!
We will not be learning how to thread the overlocker in this class but we do run beginners overlocking classes regularly. If you can use a normal sewing machine you will be able to use an overlocker, so prior experience of the overlocker is not necessary!
What to bring:
- Leggings pattern
- Fabric
- Basic sewing kit (scissors, pins, unpick etc)
Please bring your pattern and fabric cut out. We send you some suggestions in the email when you book and of course we can help with picking the right fabric. We also send you a video showing you how to cut out a pattern but please get in touch if you need a hand with this!
Drop us a wee email if you'd like to use a different pattern so we can make sure we think you'll get it finished in the time we have in class. Should be fine though!
Yes you can - as long as you have some sewing experience. We won't be teaching you how to thread the machine but you can definitely still use it!
