Quilted Christmas Stocking Class

With this class you can start a beautiful new tradition in your house of having the most gorgeous quilted stockings to hang by the fire!
You’ll be making a stocking using a simplified Quilt as You Go (QAYG) method. You will be taught how to piece the front of the stocking and then add trims before sewing the stocking together.
This class is open to beginner quilters as well as those who are more experienced as there will be time to learn basic techniques as well as personalise the patchwork design a bit! It will be a nice relaxed class to get everyone in the Christmas spirit!
The printed stocking pattern will be provided and all the equipment will be in the studio for you to use. You will then need to select your fabric, wadding and trim or check your confirmation email to buy a kit from us.
Some prior sewing experience is necessary. You only need to be able to use a sewing machine, if you are unsure get in touch! Sew Confident is a fun, social learning environment where peer support comes as standard! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BRING YOUR OWN SEWING MACHINE as machines are provided.
Everyone is welcome in this class! If you don't sew then the fabric weights would make the perfect gift for someone or maybe its a sign to start a new hobby?
If you fancy the project then absolutely! We sometimes get people coming along to class as a wee confidence boost after a break from the hobby, or if you want to sew with company it can be a great way to meet new like minded people!
Of course! As long as you have some sewing experience then we would love for you to join us at this class. We don't go into all the different quilting techniques in this class so you would definitely still benefit from attending the beginners quilting class too.
