Visible mending can be used to create amazing geometric designs on everything from cushion covers to tote bags and it’s also a great way to mend and repair garments (especially jeans!)  This is a hand sewing class and our tutor Ruth will teach you various stitches in one evening.  We will show you some lovely decorative stitches and touch on Sashiko, allowing you to go home with the skills to repair and mend your clothing.  It is especially effective on denim but can be used on various other fabrics. Our tutor will explain how to form the stitches and then invite you to use these new found skills to breathe a new lease of life into your much loved garments. 

All materials are included in the price of this class but you are welcome to bring along an item in need of a small patch or repair if you would like.
